Newsletter on Power BI
Power BI is a Platform for designing dynamic dashboards in a common sense. But what is the main purpose of building dashboards in a deep look? I think, solving problems in an alive way. Because business needs to trace the effects of factors in a dynamic manner. In fact, dashboards should help companies and customers generally to make better decisions via access to second-to-second results and process analysis. To be more exact, when we face with constantly changing data, using live, real-time dashboards is an effective way to make the best data-driven decisions.
Power BI working layers:
I have talked with so many people who were even professional in data field, but they thought power bi is just for making reports and it can be fulfilled in the report layer. While ~90% of the work in Power BI-Reports below the surface, belonging to data modeling, SQL works from joining tables to scripting advanced queries, DAX Expressions, performance analyzer, and others in the semantic model layer. So, all data preparations, data manipulations, data analysis, and other works in the semantic data modeling layer help to make better visualizations and reports.
Power BI connectivity to work with different types of data:
Some of data types which are used frequently are Sql databases, Excel data, Web data, Azure data, and others. Each of them has own use cases. For example, if you have a large dataset, you 100% need Sql or you will NEVER be able to update your work!
AI capabilities in Power BI:
Copilot as an ai application adds value to work. For instance, for generating scripts, improving them and other areas such as generating dax formulas and improving them. Moreover, for boosting performance analysis and so many others. Just use it!
